The video is a short edited version of a 45-minute performance in front of an audience, performed at the Pocket Theater Studio as part of the first edition of the TRANSLACIJA / TRASLACIÓN platform in 2018.
The performance begins with the artist trapped in a textile cocoon, from which she slowly frees herself tearing holes in the fabric. When the fabric is almost completely thorn, she comes steps out of the cocoon. The artist has a shaved head and wears a sweater with accentuated holes. She puts on a faux fur coat that hangs on a hanger in the room. The coat is also full of holes - shaved hairs that are collected on the pile below it. When she puts on her coat, the author leaves the stage through the door.
The performance takes place in silence, in a dark space with spotlights.
The title of the performance is the Latin name for the autoimmune disease causing hair loss with which the artist struggled. In the performance, she puts her personal experience in a broader social context of feelings of personal distress, anxiety and shame, and coping with them. (Source: DIVA Station)
