Circulacija 2 is an art initiative - a transmedia and post-media collective that has been operating since 2007 in Ljubljana / Slovenia. Circulacija 2 advocates the long-term sustainability of a shared working and presentation space (artist house) and a joint action in the field of technology related post-media art. From the very beginning, the Initiative has been organizing a variety of unique public collaborative platforms - with many local and international artists and initiatives invited - called Expanded Cirkulacija.

Cirkulacija 2 operates at the crossroads of numerous artistic expressions and formats which may be the definition of transmediality and postmodernism: sound, light, movement - in contrast to music, video and dance. And in the field of presentation formats: event, happening, situation - in contrast to the show, exhibition, concert, festival. So, less defined and therefore more free forms than fixed formats.

The start of informal activity was in 2007 and since 2009 it has been organized as the Association for interdisciplinary, self-production and circulation of contemporary art. Founders: Borut Savski, Stefan Doepner, Boštjan Leskovšek, Majda Gregorič, Ksenija Čerče. Currently active members are: Stefan Doepner, Borut Savski, Boštjan Leskovšek and Jakob Harisch. In the expanded form of Circulation 2, many artists regularly participate: Neven Korda, Gregor Kamnikar, Marko Košnik, Boštjan Čadež, Lars Vaupel, Dominik Mahnič, Vlado Repnik, Alessandro Di Giampietro, etc.

Between 2007 and 2013 Circulacija 2 has been located  in the former Rog factory, and since 2014 it has been operating in the former Tobačna factory in Ljubljana. With constant activities in these local environments, they participate at other festivals in Slovenia and abroad. Between 2010 and 2013, a series of multi-day events under the title Total art platform were performed at MedumKunstLabor Graz, Alkatraz gallery Ljubljana, Pixxelpoint festival Nova Gorica, MFRU festival Maribor, Sajeta Festival in Tolmin, Močvara Gallery (Pogon Jedinstvo) in Zagreb, Arte e Robotica in Trieste, etc.
