Keiko Miyazaki was born in Ehime, Japan. After she completed BA and MA of Fine Art at Northumbria University in England (2003), she moved to Slovenia. She pursued her study at Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia (2004), as well as Academy of Fine Art in Krakow, Poland (2005).
Keiko Miyazaki’s work bases on the observation of European social structures and taboos, an important segment of her creative process being communication that involves forging connection and cooperation with individuals from the immediate and wider environment. She expresses herself through a various medias such as installation, painting, performance and video. She was awarded Outstanding Award at the Sakaide Art Grand Prix (1999), Jury Award at the Cosmos Cable TV award (2005), as well as the culture contributor for the city of Shikokuchuou city. Since 1998 her work has been exhibited internationally. She lives and works in Slovenia.
