This is a compilation of four short video films, made in the La Tourette Dominican monastery near Lyon, which was constructed in the early sixties according to the plans of Le Corbusier and with the participation of mathematician, musician, and composer Iannis Xenakis.

The title actually satirises everything seen on the screen, since the spaces exposed to view no longer maintain the clear distance between public and private as defined by architectural conventions. The video film aims to preserve the privacy of those observed, and thus it does not show people in the spaces presented. Movement and sight follow the line of windows at eye-level, which enables the viewer to concentrate either on the patio of a monastery or the sky. People are defined by the sound of footsteps (in the corridor), and by the sound of water (in the toilet); they only appear in the final scene, gathering in a public canteen at a usual time. (VD)
