MOREGanachakra was a transmedia performance and esoteric ritual - a gathering of human and nonhuman kin for healing, revelry, and transcendence. The audience was invited to drink libations, make merry, and enjoy performances by Jatun Risba (SVN) and Jireh Koh (SG) followed by an artist talk.
'The Intimacy of Otherness' by Jatun Risba is a durational transmedia performance lecture about the artist’s self-healing from Multiple Sclerosis through guerrilla art interventions, Vajrayana Buddhist practice, and bliss-inducing techniques like clubbing, (self-)hypnosis and erotic expression.
'Rubedo: Journey of the Red Man' by Jireh Koh is a nomadic, site-specific performance that explores the ‘Dionysian impulse’ in art and meaning-making through the body, voice and ritual performance. Invoking the rhizomatic qualities of the mythical Dionysus-Murugan, the work embodies a return to primordial instincts and modes of expression.
