Let Them Drink Milk reflects on care as an invisible current that flows through domestic life. In this work, the river becomes a metaphor for the mother’s body—an endless stream of attention, nourishment, and quiet endurance. The video captures a brief exchange between myself and my daughter at the dining table, where cooking remains our only shared language. The melody of the rice cooker fills the space, transforming a mundane sound into a soft ritual—a lullaby that hums through the rhythm of daily labor. Through repetition and flow, the work contemplates how acts of care circulate without rest, how tenderness persists even when it is exhausted, and how love continues to move, quietly, like river.
