In the art video Lump of Red Mucus, several women recite poetry to their aborted fetus, which they call "my tiny velvet lump of red mucus." Their rhetoric is determined, loving and slightly melancholy, but one feels that they do not regret their decision. They say to the lump, that it is perfect, because it has never had a gender, it will never feel pain, and it will never question the meaning of its existence. In the music part of the video, we hear the lyrics of the song Immacolata, which is reminiscent of the Hail Mary prayer, and talks about the freedom, happiness and health of a woman who makes her own decisions.
The work was premiered in May 2024 at the round table of the My Voice My Choice movement, at Nova Pošta in Ljubljana. (Source: Hannah Koselj Marušič)
