Videogram 4 is regarded in the annals of Slovenian contemporary art as the beginning of experimental video and multimedia art. It is characterized by:

- processuality: the project was developed over the course of three consecutive years; the action was determined by a video and musical score and also incorporated improvisational techniques, each time referencing the preceding situation;

- multimedia nature: the situation and events in the TV studio, filming procedures and simultaneous editing in the TV studio’s control room, an authorial video broadcast as part of the RTV Ljubljana program, and a multimedia installation at the Rihard Jakopič Art Gallery in Ljubljana;

- the performativity of the actors—a painter, an actress, and a radio announcer (gestures and looking into the camera), production situations, filming techniques, stage elements, and real-time editing;

- deconstruction of production processes and screen adaptation: the complete fragmentation of space and time;  transformation of image and sound (double exposure, freeze frame, solarization, transitions, feedback, synthetic color shifting and generation of moving forms, and sound syncopation).
