

Sasha Ihnatovich (also credited as Aliaksandra Ihnatovich or Saša Ignatovič) is a Belarusian-born filmmaker based in Slovenia, working across directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and sound design. Her independent films include Not Go Gentle (2022), Naporno (2019) where she took on multiple roles including director, cinematographer, editor, and sound artist, as well as Hrana Anarh (2014) and XYX (2014), which she also wrote, directed, shot, and edited. In addition to her filmmaking practice, she has extensive experience as a production assistant on numerous Slovenian DIY short films, such as Na svojih nogah (2020), Dear Hunter (2019), Tekma oskrbnika trave (2019), Draga Jožica (2019), Tito, Nasser in Nehru (2019) and others.
Sasha is also active in film education, programming, and feminist film activism, and is involved in organising and curating International Feminist and Queer Festival Red Dawns, and is a co-founder of FemQueerFilmLab - a queer feminist film laboratory dedicated to research, production and distribution of DIY short queer feminist films made by young filmmakers from Belarus. Sasha is also active as a film curator and selector at several film festivals, organising film screenings, workshops, and discussions that center queer, feminist, and socially engaged cinema.
