Anja Medved (1969) is the author of video installations and director of documentaries. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana with a degree in theatre and radio directing in 1993. She attended postgraduate studies and professional training at the Art Center, College of Design in Pasadena, Intercultural Studies in Zagreb, Nipkow Programme in Berlin and Discovery Campus, The Art of Pitching in Leipzig. She was involved multimedia projects by the Microinternational group from Los Angeles and collaborated on the Atol Theatre projects directed by Marko Peljhan. She worked as assistant to director Vito Taufer on several theatre performances.The documentaries, mostly made in tandem with her mother Nadja Velušček, have been presented at numerous festivals. She operated within the cross-border cultural organization Kinoatelje in Nova Gorica and Gorizia.
